The Interact Club:

Empowering Youth Through Service and Leadership

The Interact Club is a dynamic youth organization committed to developing leadership skills, promoting community service, and fostering international understanding among young people. As one of the most influential student-led service clubs worldwide, Interact provides a platform for young individuals to make meaningful contributions to their communities while preparing themselves to become responsible global citizens.

Existence and Purpose of the Interact Club

Established under the guidance of Dr. Mbayo Peter, the Interact Club exists to inspire and engage students in humanitarian service. Its purpose goes far beyond organizing school activities—it aims to cultivate a generation of compassionate, socially responsible leaders who understand the value of service above self.

Interact Clubs operate in school and communities across more than 10 nearby villages, connecting young people in a global network dedicated to positive change. Through hands-on service projects, fundraising activities, leadership workshops, and cultural exchanges, members gain essential life skills while experiencing the joy of serving others.

  • Inspire students to become lifelong humanitarians and community builders.
  • Strengthen the bond between young people and Rotary, ensuring continuous growth in service-based leadership.

Founders of the Interact Club

The Interact Club was founded by Dr. Mbayo Peter in 2023 under the leadership of then–Interact President Mugisa Joseph and his advisor Ssemboga Ezra. The initiative was created to give young people a structured platform to participate in community service while learning the principles of Rotary.

Since its founding, Interact has grown into a global movement, shaped by thousands of Students that sponsor, mentor, and guide young Interactors in their service and leadership journey
