From 19th to 21st September 2025, Kangulumira Public SS had the honor of hosting the FAMACO 1 Workshop, a dynamic sports-focused event organized in collaboration with FAMACO, a respected body committed to promoting athletics and physical development among students across the region. The event was officially opened on the morning of 19th September with welcoming remarks from Dr. George Wateta, Head Teacher of the school, who expressed enthusiasm about the impact of the workshop on students’ growth and development. Over the course of three days, students, teachers, and sports professionals gathered at the school for a series of practical sessions, training modules, and motivational talks centered on sports, fitness, and leadership. The event underscored the vital role that sports play—not only in physical health—but in shaping character, discipline, teamwork, and academic success. The FAMACO 1 Workshop introduced students to various sports training techniques, physical fitness routines, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Sessions were led by certified instructor called Aleluya Lordson who shared real-world insights into the discipline and dedication required in athletics. Participants were given the chance to engage in competitive activities and group challenges, encouraging not only physical exertion but also collaboration and communication among peers. The closing ceremony, held on 21st September, celebrated the participants’ enthusiasm and commitment. Certificates of participation were awarded. As schools continue to recognize the value of holistic education, events like the FAMACO 1 Workshop serve as a reminder that physical education and sports are not optional extras—they are integral to developing well-rounded, confident, and capable young individuals. Kangulumira Public SS looks forward to continuing its partnership with FAMACO and promoting the powerful role of sports in shaping the next generation
